Trade background as wood machinist.  Introduction to the industry began in 1976 where offered job in bicycle shop.   About 1978 an opportunity arose when having a frame built and decide he would have a go at painting the bike himself.  Attempting to resurrect cycling career of the early 1970s.   Looking for a new career, became interested in the process of building a frame.  Receiving training and guidance worked with that guy doing piecework from time to time for 4 years.

In 1981 become competently in frame building technically but no skills in design and painting at the time.  Purchased equipment and infrastructure to build and paint frames at his own premises.

Returned to trade to earn money to purchase equipment (jigs, and specialized equipment to continue building).   6-12 months had ability to construct frame using equipment collected.

Exciting new challenge for own business, regardless of financial difficulties.   30 years later a thriving business, built on quality work and industry reputation.

Not building frames to price but a STANDARD

Also your awareness of the difficult in people finding a quality-oriented frame builder who could create exciting, inspired custom designs to suit individual customers.

Being inspired by the complex process of fabrication and original refinish, quality repairs
